Farai Chideya’s mission is to produce media that brings together the mind of a hard-news reporter with the heart of a storyteller. She’s been able to showcase her talents by hosting NPR’s News and Notes, doing television commentary, and running the multimedia training program Pop and Politics.

She is the author of three published nonfiction books and a novel.

And she’s also filming a documentary called Halfrican, about the cultural connections—and divides—between Africans and African-Americans
